Durex' TDC style mineral insulated thermocouple probes are manufactured with compacted magnesium oxide (MgO) insulation housed in a stainless steel or alloy sheath that protects the thermocouple element from the application's environment. This construction provides an incredibly durable temperature sensor that can be adapted to a wide variety of applications. Operating temperatures up to 2400°F (1315°C).

MI Thermocouple with Plug

The TDC3 style thermocouple features a mineral insulated (MgO) element with universal disconnect plug for reliable connections. Plugs are available in standard high-temperature 800ºF (426°C), and ceramic 1200ºF (648°C) materials.

MI Thermocouple with Process Head

The TDC4 style thermocouple features a mineral insulated (MgO) element with a protective terminal housing and process connector. This style temperature sensor can be manufactured as spring loaded for direct field replacement into existing thermowells.

MI Thermocouple with Open Terminal Disc

The TDC5 style thermocouple features a mineral insulated (MgO) element with an open terminal disc design. This temperature sensor design allows greater accessibility in wiring for space restricted areas.

MI Thermocouple With Insulated Lead Wire

The TDC6 style thermocouple temperature sensor features a mineral insulated (MgO) element that is terminated to an insulated extension lead wire and straight sheath, TDC7 style with a 45° bent sheath, TDC8 style a 90° bent sheath. An optional terminal connector can be added to the thermocouple extension wire.

MI Thermocouple with Injection Molded Transition

The TDC9 style thermocouple features a mineral insulated (MgO) element that is terminated to an insulated extension lead wire and encapsulated in a plastic injection molded “mini” transition using insert mold technology and a Liquid Crystal Polymer. The transition can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 562°F (294°C).
