Durex' TP style thermocouple protection tubes are typically used in heavy-duty industrial environments that require heavy-duty base metal protection tube thermocouple assemblies. Protection tubes are designed to be used in non-pressure environments such as industrial ducts, flues, and heat treating ovens.
These units feature large 8 gauge or 14 gauge thermocouple elements of type J or type K with ceramic insulators and are housed in protection tubes that typically have a wall thickness of schedule 40 or schedule 80. The protection tube can be made of various stainless steels or nickel alloys depending on the specific application service requirements. Termination of the protection tube assembly is typically a cast iron or cast aluminum screw cover head for enclosure of the thermocouple connections.
The thermocouple element can be changed through the removal of the terminal block while the assembly is still in service. The protection tube is usually mounted in the application with a fixed bushing or flange mounted to the tube. Optional mounting bushings and flanges are available.
The TPT & TPB style thermocouple temperature sensor assembly features a base metal thermocouple and metal protection tube for use in corrosive or hostile environments.
Base metal ceramic protection tube assembly TPTC style. Assembly features a base metal thermocouple temperature sensor and ceramic protection tube for use in corrosive or hostile environments.
The TPA style thermocouple temperature sensor assembly features a base metal thermocouple element and metal protection tube with a 90° angle design for over-the-side temperature sensing applications.
