Dual Electric Fuel Oil Heater Skid SystemKnowing that Durex Industries has the engineering, design, and manufacturing capability to provide value-added electric process heating system solutions, an oil processing facility in the Middle East reached out to us for assistance. They were looking for an economical and complete turnkey heater system for their storage oil tanks, located on an oil and petroleum tank farm.Our engineering team of experts developed a process heating system designed to provide a dual independent zoned electric fuel oil heater package suitable for use with No.2 oil tanks. The skid system includes (2) 50Kw, 380V, 3ph circulation heaters for a total of 100Kw heater rating. The packaged heating system was piped with valves such that either, one or both, electric circulation heaters can be energized. The piping also includes a bypass loop to allow preventative maintenance or repairs without losing production capabilities. At the inlet of the system is a flow switch that prohibits the circulation heaters from energizing in the event of low flow or no flow situation. This durable, yet economical solution provides a flexible product that will perform reliably for years to come. Durex also provided a temperature control panel mounted on the heater skid system to allow for safe operation of either process circulation heater.
