Electric Immersion Heaters For Car Wash SystemsA manufacturer of car wash systems had a need to provide an immersion heater and temperature control panel in a wash system that was already installed at the customer site. Space was very constrained. The electric heater had to be installed between two pump stations and the control panel needed to be located nearby – but where? Durex had an answer. We developed a screw plug immersion heater solution with an attached, low profile, NEMA 4X temperature control panel which could be installed just between the pump stations. The control panel included temperature controls, relays, fusing, and was sealed against spray water ingress. The immersion heater/control panel was successfully installed and has been operating trouble-free for many years.
