The RT style Teflon® coated resistance temperature detector probe is designed for applications that require contact temperature measurement in corrosive or chemical environments. The Teflon wire coating can be applied directly to the sheath of the RTD sensor, providing protection while minimizing effects to response. In applications that require considerable long-term protection, a welded Teflon sleeve can be used adding as much as 1/16" thick of Teflon protection to the surface of the RTD temperature sensor probe.
Durex Industries designs and manufactures custom Teflon coated RTDS, which encapsulate the entire length of the resistance temperature detector sheath for applications requiring long lengths of immersion. Various element types, wiring configurations, lead wire types, and terminations are available. Contact Durex for custom components.
